 The kingdom of Hilzaria was never considered "peaceful." Five Kings constantly fought for land and power amongst their peers and the entire land was constantly on edge, wondering when someone would finally make a move.
However, the chance never came as someone began moving through territories killing each of the Five Kings one by one. That was not enough, no. Not too long after the Kings began dying did their heirs and descendents also begin getting killed off. Sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles. None of them were safe. Not foals and not elders.
Hilzaria was getting ripped apart. Royal herds dispersed, the Kings' advisors were ostracized from any herd because it was very possible that they and anyone connected to the previous Kings were the next targets.
Now, there is gossip spreading like wildfire after a few years of the stories lying dormant. There is an heir still alive, that still exists in Hilzaria. The last heir of one of the Five Kings. The children of the Kings' advisors all have their quest, they know what to do. However, the power that was able to bring upon the deaths of so many could possibly begin stirring now that hope is being restored.
Hilzaria has become a dangerous place. Everyone must keep their friends and families close and only hope that their last hero will make themself known.
